NuGo Nutritian Bars Product Review

I recently tried a brand of nutrition bars called NuGo that I was very surprised by. Not everything in these bars are totally raw food, but they are a much healthier alternative to most other snacks and they are so incredible tasting that I had to write about them.

I was at Whole Foods and one of these bars, specifically the Chocolate Pretzel with Sea Salt, was laying out of place with other products and I picked it up thinking it looked like it would taste good so I purchased it.

I tried it later that day and was stunned by how great it tasted. No exaggeration. I’m not being paid to blog about this product, but if NuGo wants to send me free bars I’ll accept. 🙂

NuGo BarI’ve tried several other flavors since then but the Chocolate Pretzel with Sea Salt is the best. Other video reviews of this product are also commenting that this is the best of the bars. They also have a few totally Vegan bars called the NuGo10 bars that are also great. I’ve tried a number of energy bars and health bars over the years and none of them taste as good as the NuGo bars.

NuGo has put out a wide variety of flavors with some being Gluten Free, Soy & Dairy Free, Vegan, almost Sugar Free, Low Glycemic, and all Organic.

There are multiple flavors within those products so as you can see they have a lot to choose from. I would recommend the NuGo Dark Pretzel with SeaSalt for sure.

While most of the bars are obviously not completely raw foods, they are quite a bit healthier than most snack alternatives and they taste so good that you won’t want the less healthy stuff anyway. I was honestly blown away by the tastes of these bars. I’ve only tried some of the flavors as of this writing but I suspect most if not all of them are quite good. Juice Fasting & Raw Foods: The most effective weight loss plan!

All these diet fads, operations, torture devices, and pills are all a waste of time, waste of money, and can cause you harm.  Most diet plans don’t last either.  Well the good news is that the solution to all this is adding juice fasting and raw foods (fruit, vegetables, and nuts) to your diet, but be sure you are not allergic to anything first.

In America we can see that the entire population is getting more and more overweight, but we all think it’s a normal part of getting older.  It’s NOT.  It’s a normal part of building up fat and toxins. It doesn’t have to be that way. We don’t have to get cancer or have all these health issues. Adding more raw foods and juicing is only a switch to consuming what we as humans are supposed to be eating.  All the processes to cook or preserves these foods lowers the quality and benefits of those foods.  The farther we get from the point of taking the food directly form nature, the more degraded it becomes.

Personally everyone I ever knew that juice fasted has lost weight and kept it off.  It really is as simple as buying a good juicer and juice fasting occasionally and eating more raw foods. Now we are not talking about raw meat. Fruit Veggies and nuts.

It’s just stupid that everyone doesn’t realize how well juicing works. The logic is simple…

  1. juice fasting means getting a super charge of what your body really needs and you don’t expend as much energy digesting.  In turn this frees up your system to remove more toxins and fat.
  2. your body can prevent disease, cancer, and a clogged system if it’s getting useful materials as opposed to garbage.
  3. If your system is cleaner then your body functions as it did when you where younger and thus you also lose weight faster.
  4. You are taking in materials that digest better and faster as opposed to materials that turn into fat and sit there.
  5. The materials your body gets from fresh juice heals your body in many ways and you begin to function better and live longer.
  6. Juice fasting is how Hollywood actors lose weight fast for a role.

You don’t need crazy dangerous pills when juice fasting and eating more raw foods is far more effective and safer. Those guys are stealing your money. Don’t buy crazy diet pills.

Do the research. I can’t possibly put enough information in this article to convince anyone. You really gotta Google more sites and watch a number of Youtube videos from people who’ve actually tried it.

Healthy Fit WomanHow much do I need to Juice and how much raw food should I add?

This depends on how much you need it. Most people can just juice fast for a few days every couple of weeks and replace a few meals per weak with raw foods and/or juice.  But, if you are in dire need of help and are more than 100 pounds overweight then you should go all out vegan for awhile.

You do have to be careful about juice fasting too much. Some people do feel odd for a period of time during juice fasting as you detox but then you come back form that and feel great.  There’s pros and cons so you just don’t want to go too nuts with it. Do the research on this site as well as others and Youtube.

What about taste?

In my personal experience most of the stuff you can make will taste really good. Even green juices can taste pretty good if you add lemon, ginger and/or mint.  You will most likely run into a few things that taste bad, but most drinks taste better than anything you can buy in the store.  Just be sure to drink it right away or store it in the fridge for only a day or so in a totally air tight container filled to the very top.

Don’t go too nuts and mix too many ingredients together. Melons should be juiced by themselves and greens should go together.

How long will it take?

It will surprise you that you will lose weight almost right away. If you juice fast periodically but also make sure to juice or eat just raw foods (not meat) for 40-60 percent of your daily meals then you should reach your ideal weight within a year or so depending on how overweight you are.  Obese individuals may require more intense changes along with an increase in exercise. Remember you are not really dieting or depriving yourself because you are just switching to eating the foods we humans where always meant to eat and you can eat as much as you want of these foods.

For most people it will. Once you adopt this to your lifestyle, you realize how easy it is to lose the weight so if you do start to go off the wagon then you simply do another juice fast and quickly regain.  Basically everyone I know who’s tried juicing has stayed thin.  You don’t starve yourself so there’s no rebound effect. There’s no crazy pills getting your system out of whack and most of those are deadly. Stay away from the pills. You don’t need them.

The cost?

Even more good news. The cost is less than any of these diet plans, pills and surgery. Not only that your food costs will go down over time and you’ll have more money to spare. You do have to buy a good juicer which will run you $100-$300 and you may need more than one type of juicer to be able to juice everything or supplement with a personal sized $20 blender. You’ll have to replace that juicer every 1-3 years but in the long run you save money. You also save on health costs later on. It’s not just for weight loss. Your whole body becomes healthier.

Why doesn’t everyone do it?

Good question. It works so well that it’s really stupid that we all just don’t know to do this. It should common knowledge.

Here are some reasons…

  • I think people just don’t know the logic behind juicing and raw foods
  • They are afraid of the taste. Like most foods there’s good and bad but most of it tastes REALLY good. Once you know what to avoid then it’s all good.
  • Just the fact that it’s advertised in a medical way as a diet.
  • A juicer is expensive for most people.
  • People follow everyone else and everyone else is eating whatever they want thinking that it’s just normal behavior.
  • It’s not easy to adopt juice fasting in a work environment
  • Pills, surgery, and strange devices are advertised so much that Juicing couldn’t possibly be the answer right?

I think mostly people just simply don’t know.  When I was first told about it..I totally ignored the advice. It wasn’t until I really started researching and looking into it that I wanted to change what I eat. I didn’t need to lose that much weight but I tried it and it worked.

Again, you really should Google more sites and I’m certain this site is not the first one you came across. And you should watch a number of videos as posted on this site or on Youtube itself to really see what it’s all about.

So the answer is really as simple as juicing and raw foods, but you don’t have to become a vegan. Just adopt this diet as much as you need to based on your situation.

The bottom line is, yeah the pizza and burgers are great but your body is healthier and functions better on the materials it really needs.
